Snowdonia National Park

Snowdonia national park lies within the north of Wales and is one of three national parks within Wales. The national park is very famous with plenty of activities to take part in, including taking a walk up the tallest mountain in Wales, the Snowdon Mountain. The mountain reaches a height of 1,085 metres, allowing walkers to experience beautiful views of the surrounding landscape, including, waterfalls, tranquil lakes and a diverse range of wildlife.  If you are not up for the climb up the mountain but would still like to enjoy the views the mountain has to offer, you can take a ride up in the Snowdon mountain train, here you are able to relax and reach the peak of the mountain without any strenuous exercise. At the top of the mountain there is a cafe for climbers to enjoy a nice hot tea break and explore the views in a relaxed environment.

   

       There are so many activities to take part in Snowdonia national park, including taking a ride on Europe’s longest and fastest Zip Line. This activity is great for adrenaline junkies and is located in the beautiful setting at the Penrhyn Quarry amongst the mountains of Snowdonia. On the ride you will be moving along the line at speeds of almost 100mph at 500 feet above the lake, it truly is a ride of a lifetime!

Isle of Skye

The Isle of Skye is easily one of the most beautiful parts of the United Kingdom. It is located off the western coast of the Scottish highlands and is extremely well known for its absolutely breathtaking scenery and spectacular views. The famous Isle of Skye stretches out over 50 miles and forms the largest of the Inner Hebrides. Famous villages in the south of the Skye are Elgol, Torrin, Broadford and Plockton. The Island has an extremely incredible history, known for its dinosaur fossil discoveries and diverse range of wildlife.

   

        Love hiking, adventure, climbing, extreme sports, or perhaps you prefer a quiet walk in the tranquil, peaceful surroundings of the Scottish mountains? The isle of Skype has plenty to offer to suit your moods and requirements. The Cuillin mountain range is a world class destination for climbers offering adrenaline junkies climbs that peak above 3000 feet! The more experienced walkers and climbers are able to trial out the “Munro Bagger Challenge” where climbers aim to peak all 248 of the larger mountains. There are also plenty of many smaller paths in place for the less experienced walker to enjoy.

       

       The Isle of Skye is a great location to enjoy a range of wildlife watching, such as the white tailed sea eagle, seals, whales, otters, dolphins and red deer are a few of the range of amazing animals that can be observed in the Isle of Skye. Visitors are given the opportunity to take a trip on the infamous “Bella Jane”, the longest running boat ride in Elgol. Bella Jane transports you to the most remote and isolated viewpoints allowing you to enjoy a relaxing boat trip amidst the mysterious Scottish mountains.

   

      To really appreciate the diverse range of beauty within the Isle of Skye, one must really pay a visit to Plockton. In contrast to the mountainous views you get around much of the Isle of Skye, Plockton is really a truly amazing location with its palm trees and tranquil waters, one is able to enjoy a serene warm environment in the midst of Scotland. Within Plockton there are plenty of hire boat companies offering boat hire, from large canoes to kayaks. Here, you can enjoy the waters in a peaceful environment and get up close to a range of wildlife. 

Dover

Dover is a very beautiful city with plenty to see and discover. Visitors are given the opportunity to enjoy spectacular scenes at the white cliffs, or perhaps to explore the city’s history within Dover Castle. Dover city has a major ferry port and is located in the South East of England in Kent. Dover sits near the English Channel and faces France and opens up to the gateway to the rest of Europe. Here, the coastline is naturally very beautiful with turquoise shores, sandy and pebble beach’s extending for miles on end.  There is also a fairground within Dover Beach for families to enjoy a nice family day out.

   

      The White Cliffs of Dover are absolutely striking to look at. The cliff face extends up to 350 feet in height and is composed of a chalk substance with black flint. The White Cliffs of Dover are an important part of Britain’s heritage, a sign of the strength of the British nation and hold great historical value. Throughout history, the White Cliffs of Dover were known to form a protective barrier along the coast line of England standing guard against foreign invaders and enemies. On a clear day, one is able to see the cliffs of the French coast, Cap Gris Neza, a truly spectacular sight. Etched into the white cliffs is a pathway for perhaps the more active visitor to take a walk down the cliff’s face and enjoy a close up of the Cliff’s shoreline and experience the cliffs in a whole new dimension.

   

        There are plenty of affordable 5 star hotels and fine restaurants within Dover for visitors to enjoy, however I would recommend taking a visit to the Dover Cafe that sits at the top of the White Cliffs, the views here are breathtaking. You are able to enjoy an English cup of tea and cake in a calm and peaceful environment. Dover really appeals to a whole range of age groups with plenty of activities for everyone; the town has a truly friendly atmosphere with a real sense of community.

   

       After exploring the beautiful coast line and the White Cliffs why not take a tour around the medieval Dover Castle. Dover Castle dates back to the 12^th Century, and has been renovated throughout history. Currently, the magnificent castle puts on shows for visitors to get a true experience of history. Visitors can enjoy a great family day out exploring the dark Secret Wartime Tunnels, reliving moments from World War II, and enjoy fun ghost hunting activities. 

Fort William

     Fort William is the second largest town in the Scottish highlands and is home to a major tourist center. It lies very close to the highest mountain in the British Isles, Ben Nevis. The mountain is a highly popular place for visitors with over 100,000 climbers each year. The surrounding area is stunningly beautiful with vast mountain ranges, forests sea lochs and canals. All these features enable tourists to enjoy a range of outdoor activities.

    

      In addition, there a range of marked trails for hikers to enjoy that are ranked at different levels to accommodate the visitor’s experience e.g. “moderate, easy, and difficult”.  Some of the most scenic walking routes include Great Glen way and Paseo desde. If visitors do not wish to walk, there are also marked routes and roads for vehicles to travel up various mountainous regions. Visitors will be able to embark on a great adventure and enjoy some of the most stunning views in the world. Fort William is home to a diverse range of wildlife and nature so hiring a mountain bike to explore these regions and get up close to animals such as red deer, wild squirrels and golden eagles is well worth it.

   

     Staying in Fort William is made easy as you are never too far away from a convenience store so if you are in need of essentials or some home comforts these are easily accessible in the town center. Also, the information point in Fort William has lots of free useful information about town exploration for visitors and key access points. 

Beautiful Brum

    Birmingham is the most popular city in England after the capital city, London. The city lies within the West Midlands and is now a major commercial international centre. Birmingham is well known across the United Kingdom for its diverse culture, arts and theatre. There are a range of restaurants scattered all over the city representing fine cuisines from a range of cultures such as Indian, Pakistani, Afghani, Polish, Arab and Chinese. According to many reports Birmingham is home to the best curry houses in Europe.

  

     Over the years the city of Birmingham has undergone many changes, in 2003 the famous Bullring Shopping mall was complete. Home to over 140 stores restaurants and bars many visitors enjoy spending many hours of retail therapy. In addition, Birmingham has excellent transport links so it’s very easy to get around the city using the cheap bus system. Not too far from the city center is Birmingham Broad Street, which is Birmingham’s most dynamic entertainment point, offering beautiful candle lit canal side bars and restaurants, international club nights and comedy centers. Staying in Birmingham does not have to be costly, especially with the option to stay in a bed and breakfast. Or if you prefer to splash a little on your holiday luxurious hotels are easy to come by with great views of the city.

   

      The Peak District National Park lies on the outskirts of the city of Birmingham, and is Britain’s first National Park. Its protected landscapes and wildlife make this a wonderful setting for recreational and outdoor activities. There is plenty of hire equipment available for fun activities like cycling, abseiling, horse riding and even yachting. The views in the Peak District are spectacular and are a peaceful get away for visitors who might prefer a quiet retreat from the busy town center of Birmingham.

I feel incredibly privileged to be reporting to you from London.  London is my most favourite city to be in, with its diversity, football culture, theatre, history, music, arts and it is home to some of the world’s best sites.

    

    In summer 2012, London was the proud host of the Olympic Games. Londoners and visitors from all parts of the world gathered to welcome the huge sporting event, which turned out to be a huge success. Today, in Stratford city the Olympic legacy lives on by ensuring a thriving sustainable community for east Londoners. The Olympic village has been turned into affordable housing for 6,000 residents.  Furthermore, Stratford city is home to Europe’s largest shopping mall with over 200 shops and bars, the complex has an entertainment center too, with bowling facilities and a cinema. The Olympic village still holds a range of fun activities for families and children to take part in regularly.  

   

     There is so much to explore in London however, London’s top attractions include the London Eye, national Galleries and the Tower of London. The world famous British Museum was founded in 1753.  It contains an amazing collection of unique treasures that date back to over two million years, representing cultures from across the world. One is able to spend many hours comparing collections between cultures centred on a huge and glorious central court. Key features include the Rosetta Stone and the mummies in the Ancient Egypt collection. What’s more, the entry to this museum is completely free!

  

    The London Eye provides another entertaining and magical experience for visitors to view the city of London.  Europe’s largest giant Ferris wheel sits on the bank of the River Thames, it is 443 feet tall, enabling tourists to capture stunning, panoramic views of the city at an affordable price. A short walk from the London Eye is Madame Tussauds, where visitors are able to get up and close to the wax models of their favourite A-List celebrities, sporting heroes, and political icons.

     The great Tower of London has a grim reputation as a place of torture and death. During the Tudor period many notables were famously beheaded here. Nonetheless, visitors are able to discover the history of a royal palace, a powerful fortress and learn about the bloody tales surrounding historical tragedies.

   

     England is the birth place of my favourite sport, football. Football or “Soccer” as many of you know it by has been played in England as far back as the Tudor times. Thankfully, the game has developed since then, as it was very common for players to be killed during matches. Many British people take the sport of football very serious, which is excellent news for visitors who enjoy soccer. London is home to a number of leading England soccer clubs and stadiums where fans are able to enjoy watching their favourite teams play in first class stadiums. Wembley stadium is England’s national stadium where the Champions League 2013 games were held.  

   

     London is well known for its West End theatre, where spectacular musicals and a range of main stream entertainment shows are held in theatres.

     Overall, London has so much to offer for visitors of all ages, with its spectacular shows, history and sporting culture, I highly recommend this city to all.
